Booking terms
The terms on which we accept a booking. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Deposit and balance
A deposit of 20% of the journey price confirms your booking and is what we use to hold hotels, trains and permits. The balance falls due eight weeks before your arrival date. For bookings made inside eight weeks the full amount is payable at confirmation.
If you cancel
Cancellation charges rise as your departure approaches, because our own suppliers charge us on the same curve. More than 60 days out you lose the deposit; 60 to 30 days, half the journey price; inside 30 days, the full price. We will always tell you what a specific change will cost before you commit to it.
If we change something
Occasionally a property closes, a train is withdrawn or a permit is refused. We will offer the nearest equivalent at no extra cost, and if there is no acceptable equivalent you may cancel with a full refund of what you have paid us.
Insurance
Travel insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation and cancellation is a condition of travelling with us. Please send us the policy number before you fly.
Liability
We arrange and coordinate services provided by hotels, airlines, railways and transport operators. Where we are at fault we accept responsibility. Where the fault lies with an independent supplier our liability is limited to the assistance we can give in putting it right.
